~The Sunny Coast has long been a happy cousin to the Gold Coast, because we know where our magic lies, we have more space to get away from the crowds, more secluded beaches, and more laid back locals. Sure, spots where tourists flock to exist here as well, but if you want a low key holiday destination the Sunshine Coast is a wonderful place to experience.
From the stunning Glasshouse Mountains, Hinterland Villages of Montville & Maleny, the Fraser Island gateway town of Rainbow Beach, a world surfing reserve in the incredibly beautiful Noosa National Park, gorgeous must see beaches like Sunshine, Coolum, Alexandra Headland, and in the heart of the Coast ~ Mooloolaba ~ which is one of prettiest north facing beaches you will ever see.
Head south on the Pacific Highway and under 3 hours you enter Northern NSW, which is as stunning as ever, the perfect destination for that road trip.. Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads, Bangalow & Lennox Head are all lovely towns to spend time in.
camping grounds ~ all about the camp fire & camp experience
Our absolute favourite Habitat Noosa on the waters edge of Lake Cootharaba. A step up from the others...
van parks ~ the location to the beach & the action
hipcamps ~ private acreage's opened up for all to enjoy
We stayed recently at Coondoo Springs north of Kin Kin, where we camped at the foot of Mount Coondoo... such an impressive back drop, with a very relaxed owner offering up his land for others.
national parks ~ for those looking for seclusion in nature
